Next Sunday October 4th, 2009 is the PTR motorcycle trials event located in Hillsgrove PA. Written directions are located on the Site Info -> Directions tab at the top of the page. Google map coordinates are available below.
Our friends at MAVT are holding a vintage trials in Williamsport, PA this Sunday.
Quote from MAVT website:
Though we are mainly Vintage oriented and use the “no stop” rule, we invite riders with any trials bike, new or old, to join us. We have “lines” and “classes” to suit beginners, novices, intermediate riders and even most experts.
The flyer is included on the right side. Visit the MAVT website for more information.
The new 2010 trials motorcycles are coming soon. Here is a quick preview. Click the more info link for more information about each model. Click the picture for a closer look at each bike.
The long awaited SherGas is due in 2010 also. Well, not really, but someone from the Thumper Talk forums created an image of one. It seems the consensus is that the 2010 Sherco and 2010 GasGas look an awful lot alike. See for yourself.
Dave Diehl put together this flawless ride in section 10 at the Jersey Shore event. He thought the section was so easy that he decided to throw in a freestyle “no footer” through the exit gate!
Terry Anselmo, JJ Gregorowicz, Dave Deihl and anyone else who wants to ride trials will be riding at Shamokin Dam (close to Knoebels) this Saturday starting at 9:30am.
Everyone is welcome to come, doesn’t matter what your skill level.
If you are interested in riding contact terry@d6trials.com or 570-259-3916 for directions!

In the following video of Steve Krouse riding section 10 at Jersey Shore there is a sudden interaction with the ground. The rider was awarded a “5″ but he did not agree with the checker. I have read the rules a couple of times and couldn’t find a rule that states if a handlebar touches the ground it is a “5″. Which was the call by the checker based on the mud on his lever.
The score cannot be changed. It did not affect the outcome of the trials event. This is not a debate on whether or not the checker made the right call.
It does beg the question, what rule should be used to score this ride? Lets see if the current rules posted on this site can be used to determine how to score the ride. What do you think?
