I got this bike to sharpen my woods racing skills and learn better clutch and rear brake control. I haven’t competed with the bike but would ride it at a friends property. It is in wonderful shape and runs perfectly. The tires are super sticky and new and the chain/sprockets are in great shape. I change the oil after every two rides and only run motorex premix in the top (same thing KTM recommends in all their bikes).
As I’m sure you’ve read, 09 had some issues w/frame and swingarm cracking. This frame is not cracked nor does it fit into the time frame of the cracked ones. The swing arm was cracked and I replaced it with a brand new one. While replacing the swing arm, I also replaced the linkage bearings and swing arm bearings with aftermarket greasable bushings. Everything is in tip top shape and needs nothing but a new rider.
